Draw, hammer, and weld production models and prototypes into shape

As a mechanical design engineer at Tyromotion, I’m kept busy with mechanical components that I draw and prepare for orders. I am responsible for the optimisation of production models, among other things. This can, for example, include measures for simplifying assembly, increasing quality, creating parts lists for purchasing and production, as well as designing devices and packaging. I also generally assist with prototypes and new developments in construction.

What I particularly like about Tyromotion is the varied work and the proximity to the devices. There is no “copy and paste” construction with us. We’re constantly working on something new and better. We get hold of newly-developed parts and components and, together with our technicians, consider the best possible way to assemble them.

The production of various robot and computer-assisted therapeutic devices according to instructions I helped to shape.

As a team we tackle challenging tasks.  We guarantee our self-imposed top quality through in-process testing and inspections during assembly, as well as final checks by our Quality Assurance department. As innovation is capitalised at this company, we collaborate closely during development, and are able to bring our ideas and recommendations to the table. Every day we take another step closer to completing our mission of substantially improving people’s quality of life. 

I have always wanted to help disabled people. By using our devices, it is possible for patients to improve their quality of life. Working with Tyromotion is a great opportunity, as I can always get further training and get the opportunity to try new things.

Area Sales Manager and “globetrotter”

Travels about 100 days a year to manage our partners in 15 countries in the Middle East and in Asia

My responsibility is to grow sales in most of our countries in the Middle East and Asia. I do this by building and strengthening relationships with our partners. This means giving them support, annual visits, road shows, presentations, exhibitions and receiving their customers at Tyromotion.  

In my job, I have been able to demonstrate my passion for building and maintaining relationships and growing sales. There is a great deal of freedom at Tyromotion as to how I do my work, and this is essential. I know what is expected of me, I know the guidelines but I can manage my work as I see fit and achieve the goals expected of me. Naturally, the idea of being able to travel was a nice incentive for working here. At Tyromotion, we try to maintain a family atmosphere and my customers feel this when they visit us. This is an important aspect of working here – also – I can walk/ride my bike to work and…bring my dog.

Software Developer – Unity3D / VR and “Code Warrior”

I am a software developer specialising in Unity3D, and I develop games or therapies for our therapeutic devices for improving the independence and quality of life of patients. This ranges from planning ideas for the development of prototypes right through to the final software. So I can’t just operate as a software developer, rather I can also end up playing a part in the areas of game design, game graphics, and game UI.

As a software developer specialising in Unity3D, you don’t immediately think about or look for a job in the medical sector. So it makes me even happier to have found this job. The reason I decided on Tyromotion is not just that I get to work with Unity here; it’s also the fact that the therapies (I like to call them games) I develop give people joy and help to make rehabilitation more motivating.

Accounting / Controlling /and “number juggler”

Creating monthly and yearly statements, management reporting and financial planning

My duties cover the areas of bookkeeping and controlling. For one of them, I create running monthly statements. I prepare the appropriate bookkeeping and cost accounting analyses, on the basis of which the monthly management reporting happens. For the other, the preparation and creation of the yearly statement, carrying out the audit, and helping to create the annual budget are among my tasks.

Tyromotion offers me personally a very interesting remit with constantly-changing, exciting topics and challenges. The work remains varied and exciting thanks to the company’s constant development and growth. Above all, I’m proud to work for a company that helps people with its products. It’s nice to be part of such a creative and highly motivated team.

Engineer – Electronics and “spark tickler”

Master’s course in Telematics with a focus on “designing electronic devices” and “control systems engineering”

Develop electronics and firmware, tickling sparks until it is smoking and burning. 

It turns out that the remit as an electronics developer is quite large due to the complex electro-mechatronic systems. It comprises everything, from the conception and construction of completely new devices through to the detailed development of circuit boards and the associated firmware. I find it particularly fun to see through the entire product development process, from the idea through to the finished product. As an electronics developer, I work directly on prototypes, and I can see my contribution to the whole product daily. The effects of modifications to circuits or the source code can be tested on the system directly. The ability to work in a team, commitment, care, and enjoying technology are all prerequisites for this job.   

Working in an interdisciplinary environment where mechanics, electronics, programming and control technology all converge really appeals to me. I can use and expand my expertise daily, and have fun with my colleagues and enjoy the work and our products at the same time. I enjoy working in a young, dynamic team that has a common goal and enthusiastically works towards it. At Tyromotion, I have come upon an incomparable working environment in which every employee is valued, and there is a fantastic team spirit.
